Who We Are
Larry Berg
I am a lifelong resident of Rankin County and have loved being raised and raising a family here. I graduated from Northwest Rankin High School in 1991, after which I served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves from 1992-1998. I married my beautiful wife Stacy Boykin Berg in 1995 and have raised three great kids Lawrence Berg, Madison Tootie Berg and Jessi Black, all of whom are also NWRHS graduates. I have owned and operated a residential contracting company since 1995, providing members of our community with high quality craftsmanship and great homes for their families. I am so excited to launch this new business with my son and look forward to announcing our new project, coming soon to northern Rankin County.
Lawrence Berg, PhD
I grew up in Rankin County and graduated from Northwest Rankin as the Valedictorian in 2015. I then attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and earned a Bachelor’s degree in 2019 with majors in Chemistry, Environmental Engineering, and Political Science. I earned my PhD in Chemistry at Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA in 2025. I am married to my wonderful wife Dr. Katie Kapp Berg. I am tremendously excited and grateful for the opportunity to reconnect with my home in central MS and create opportunities for people to raise families here. Thank you all for your support of my father and I on this endeavor!
Community Involvement
Berg Land Development is committed to being a good community-focused business. We aim to bring new homeowners into the north Rankin County area and believe in the value of participating in local communities. This community is also our home, and we support our community through a number of initiatives listed here.
